Summary


The Facilities and Logistics Coordinator is responsible for project planning and day-to-day oversight for a variety of new and existing commercial and residential properties. Key properties are our private education campuses. The Facilities and Logistics Coordinator must be skilled in effective and professional communication as this work involves dealing with trades, landlords, tenants, campus directors and administrative staff in a tactful and expedient manner. Negotiating experience is a must along with an eye for cost improvement and efficient use of space.


General Qulification


Education and Experience:

- Post secondary education in business, trade(s), or related field
- A minimum of three years experience working with trades people and construction projects including reading, interpreting, and working with construction, architectural, and engineering plans
- Experience in negotiation

Competencies:

- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate and interact with all individuals with integrity, empathy and sincerity
- Superior organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Proven self-starter and problem solver, willing to take initiative to ensure projects are well-coordinated from beginning to end and desired results are achieved
- Must be deadline driven and goal-oriented
- A positive attitude and customer focused approach
- Ability to act with tact, good judgment, and discretion

 

 


Specific Responsibilities


The Facilities and Logistics Coordinator will at various times be responsible for the following as well as other related duties as assigned to support business objectives.

Existing properties
• Overseeing property management and capital projects for current properties
• Resolving facilities, tenancy and property management requests and complaints
• Negotiating with landlords, contractors and tenants in a tactful and expedient manner

New properties
• Conducting due diligence on potential acquisitions
• Coordinating setup and ongoing operational management (trade contracts, tenant correspondence and relationship management) for new property acquisitions

Campuses
• Planning, coordinating, and overseeing all facets of new campus set up and/or relocation including designing, obtaining quotes and coordinating bids, and supervising renovation/construction to avoid delays and ensure campuses are ready for scheduled opening day
• Acquiring furniture and fixtures, coordinating set up and ensuring cost efficiencies are balanced with Eminata Group standards
• Devising standards and systematic approaches to improve existing facilities and plan new facilities
• Conducting frequent site inspections, improving space use efficiencies, standardize and enforce corporate consistencies, and conduct quality control of all facets of facilities
