Eminata Downtown Office Campus is seeking an Accountant to contribute to the academic success of students and to the success of the Company in achieving its statement of purpose. Please note Job#02110219 in subject line of your application.
Summary
The Accountant would have between 2-4 years of experience in reconciliations, general ledger, journal entry postings, financial statement preparation and analysis, month end close.
General Qulification
In mid-final stages of CGA/CMA/CA program and experience in a related environment including 2-4 years at an accountant level or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Specific Responsibilities
Reporting to the Controller and CFO, the Accountant is accountable for the following:
- Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts
- Assists in the month end processes by verifying accuracy and posting accruals
- Prepares consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments
- Protects organization's value by keeping confidential information
- Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
- Other related duties as assigned to support the business objectives and purpose of the Eminata Group
Position Requirements
Competencies:
To be successful in the Accountant position, individuals must be committed to developing, maintaining and demonstrating the following:
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting and financial principles and practices
- Advanced knowledge of accounting software and spreadsheet applications
- Advanced oral and written communication skills, including report and business writing
- Ability to motivate and inspire teamwork
- Thorough knowledge of MS Office including Word and Excel
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP is an asset
- Experience with Quickbooks is required.
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to multi-task
- Ability to learn quickly and work independently with limited direction
- Excellent judgement, problem solving skills with ability to make appropriate decisions under pressure
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm focus during hectic periods
- Ability to exhibit a professional attitude and image with a commitment to quality service
- Ability to work independently with general supervision
